Acute brain slices


Brain slices can be used to study a wide variety of questions in
neuropharmacology and neurotoxicology.®

We offer a large range of models from different laboratory animals.
Both, extracellular (e.g. local field potentials)®or intracellular (e.g. patch clamp) electrophysiology techniques can be employed.®

With the standard preparations in our lab you can study

     -  drug interactions with LTP in hippocampus and amygdala

     -  dopamine release in the striatum

     -  epileptiform activity induced by Mg-free ringer solutions in hippocampus
